Analysis and evaluation

Crash data analysis undertaken by Land Transport NZ provides a critical statistical basis for the package. It identifies the major problem areas in New Zealand driving practice and establishes new road safety priorities by clearly indicating where the greatest gains can be made.

The road safety enforcement and advertising campaign is continually evaluated to assess its influence on people's attitudes to road safety, their behaviour on the roads and ultimately, the campaign's effectiveness in helping to bring down the number of road deaths and injuries.
