Economic evaluation manual software (EEM software)

EEM software is available for conducting some of the economic evaluation calculations contained in EEM1 and EEM2. The software is available in two separate parts, and can be downloaded and used free of charge.

EEM software part 1

EEM software part 1 2008 corresponds to the contents of the Economic evaluation manual - volume 1, amendment 2 (EEM1) and the Economic evaluation manual - volume 2, amendment 1 (EEM2).

This version of the software contains the following procedures:

• Simplified procedures (EEM 1 and EEM2)
• Passing lane evaluation
• Full procedures accident analysis

• EEM software part 1 - version 5.1.3 (zipped folder, 19 MB)
  Note: administrator privileges are required to successfully install the EEM software. If you do not have these privileges see your systems administrator.
• EEM software part 1 - patch 5.2.6 (zipped folder, 2.91 MB)
  Note: The main EEM software version 5.1.3 must be installed before running the latest patch file.

EEM software part 2

Part 2 of the EEM software contains full procedures calculations for travel times and vehicle operating costs. The travel time values correspond to EEM1 amendment 2. However, the vehicle operating cost values have not yet been updated and correspond to the values in EEM1 amendment 1, and therefore require the appropriate update factor to be applied.

Note: Part 2 of the software is being updated to include the latest vehicle operating cost values, and will be released as soon as it is available.
