Definitions

Urban: Speed limit less than or equal to 70km/h.

Open road: Speed limit greater than 70km/h.

Intersection: A junction of two or more roads.

Non-intersection: A bend or curve, bridge, or other mid-block location, e.g. pedestrian crossing.

Route: A length of road where remedial works (treatments) are applied over the majority of its length.

Area: An area or part of the road network where a management system or mass action of remedial works may be applied.
