Guidelines

These guidelines can help you set up a walking school bus, or a workplace or school travel plan.

The school travel and workplace guidelines are valid until 30 June 2007, by which stage Land Transport NZ will have developed a full suite of guidelines to help you develop a safe and effective travel plan within your community or workplace.

Each set of guidelines contains sample forms and letters that you may wish to use during the planning process. If you would like to receive electronic copies of these forms, please contact your local Land Transport NZ regional office, and ask to speak to a staff member about travel behaviour change resources.
